On Thursday, the SLFA Under-20 Boys Zonal competition reached its climax, with Dennery emerging victorious over Micoud 1-0 in the finals held at the Micoud Playing Field.
Corin Hunte scored the decisive goal in the 25th minute, securing the championship title for Dennery.
In the battle for third place, Mabouya Valley triumphed over Mon Repos with a hard-fought 4-2 victory, having drawn 1-1 at halftime.
Mabouya Valley’s goals came from Kurdege Johnny, who netted twice in the 53rd and 63rd minutes, along with Cody Alexander, who scored in the 26th minute, and Kermanny Velinor, who added another in the 76th minute. For Mon Repos, Dandre Jonas and Tafari Peter found the back of the net in the 21st and 85th minutes, respectively.
