The Saint Lucia Football Association (SLFA) is thrilled to highlight the exciting young talent on display in the ongoing junior league soccer competitions.
On Sunday, August 9, the SLFA Inc. Boys Under 14 District League continued at the Technical Centre in Grande Riviere, showcasing thrilling matches that resulted in three teams securing victories and a total of 18 goals being scored, including two impressive hat tricks.
Anse La Raye triumphed over Roseau Valley with a score of 4-2, thanks to an outstanding performance from Jaydon Minvielle, who netted a hat trick in the 15th, 31st, and 35th minutes. Kevon Chandler added another goal in the 25th minute.
Roseau Valley’s efforts came from Seige Joseph, who converted a penalty in the 40th minute, and D’ Andre Leon, who scored in the 48th minute.
Mabouya Valley continued their dominance in the Southern group, delivering a remarkable 8-0 victory against Mon Repos.

Joses Wells contributed to the scoreline with two goals (in the 20th and 45th minutes), while Delville Mathurin found the net twice (in the 56th and 63rd minutes). Additional goals were scored by Zachim Francois (3rd minute), Shawnel Willie (penalty in the 31st minute), Lloyd Bernard (40th minute), and Tristan Moise (53rd minute).
Notably, Dennery failed to show up for their scheduled match against Desruisseaux. Vieux Fort South also secured a commanding win, defeating Micoud 4-0.
Jerrel Daniel showcased his skills with a hat trick, scoring in the 40th, 47th, and 54th minutes, the last of which was a penalty. Emilio Roque Tapia opened the scoring for Vieux Fort South in the 23rd minute.
Next, on Saturday, August 8, in the SLFA Inc. Primary Schools Boys Under 12 District League, a single match took place at the Technical Centre in Grande Riviere Dennery.
In a tightly contested game, Dennery and Gros Islet ended in a goalless draw, sharing the points. Additionally, both Anse La Raye and Roseau Valley were unable to field a team for their scheduled match, resulting in a null and void encounter.
