The Sandals Early Childhood Learning and Development Centre in Saint Lucia recently held its second annual graduation ceremony at Sandals Regency La Toc Golf Resort & Spa. The event celebrated 15 young graduates who have completed the centre’s programme and are ready to begin the next step in their education.
The ceremony included heartfelt tributes, proud family moments and inspiring reflections as parents, teachers, Sandals team members and guests came together to celebrate the graduates. The event also showed how the centre has built a strong reputation for early childhood education in just two years.
At the ceremony, Sunil Ramdeen, regional public relations manager for Sandals Resorts International in the Eastern Caribbean, spoke about the positive impact of the initiative.
“The Sandals Early Childhood Learning and Development Centre continues to be another gem in Sandals’ crown,” he said. “Seeing these children grow in confidence, curiosity and character is a reminder that investing in our people and their families creates lasting value for generations to come.”
School Administrator Monica Weeks said the centre aims to teach every child.
“Yes, you’ve heard that we’ve instilled many foundational skills, but one that we’re most proud of is the social development of the children. Watching them learn to care, share, communicate, build friendships and develop confidence has been one of our greatest rewards. These are qualities that will serve them well throughout their lives.”
The centre’s first group of graduates has done very well in their new schools, showing its dedication to helping children move smoothly into formal education.
Parent Tamara Joseph shared her appreciation for the care her child received during the school year.
“Choosing the Sandals Early Childhood Learning and Development Centre was one of the best decisions we made for our family,” she said. “The love, patience and guidance shown by the teachers have made a remarkable difference in our child’s growth and confidence. We are truly grateful for everything the school has done for our family, and we know our child is leaving well prepared for the next stage.”
As the 15 graduates crossed the stage to receive their certificates, they were met with applause, encouragement and strong support from their families and the Sandals community. This moment marked both the end of one chapter and the start of a bright future full of possibilities.
