Prime Minister Hon. Philip J. Pierre has strongly refuted allegations by the Opposition Leader that the Social Security Development Fund (SSDF) has gone unaudited under his leadership, labeling the claims as entirely false.
Addressing the controversy, Pierre revealed that his administration commissioned the fund’s first audit in March 2023, covering the 2017–2018 period, while pointing out that no audits were conducted during the previous United Workers Party tenure between 2016 and 2021.
