Police are looking for additional suspects after taking three people into custody following a fatal shooting in Ciceron on Friday night.
According to the Saint Lucia Fire Service, an emergency crew responded to reports of a shooting at about 9:45 p.m. on February 21, 2026. Upon arrival, they found an adult male lying face down in a drain, with no detectable vital signs. Life-saving interventions were carried out before he was transported to a medical facility, where he was later pronounced dead.
The victim has since been identified as 25-year-old Givanni Andrew Joseph of Ciceron, Castries.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Luke Defreitas confirmed that several individuals are already in custody as investigations continue.

“As we speak, three persons are in custody assisting with this investigation, and the police are pursuing a further two suspects that we hope to have in custody by later today,” Defreitas said.
The incident marks the island’s10th homicide for the year.
