The Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) has launched CDB PROPEL, a revamped technical assistance programme aimed at strengthening micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) across its nineteen Borrowing Member Countries (BMCs).
Launched in observance of World MSME Day, the initiative represents the next phase of the Bank’s long-running Caribbean Technological Consultancy Services (CTCS) Network which has supported entrepreneurs and business support organisations throughout the region for several years.
CDB PROPEL is designed to respond to the evolving needs of Caribbean businesses operating in an increasingly digital, competitive and climate-challenged environment. The programme will provide targeted technical assistance and financing to Caribbean micro, small and medium-sized enterprises. MSMEs and registered MSME development organisations in the Bank’s nineteen BMCs are all eligible to apply for assistance.
Through CDB PROPEL, the Bank aims to promote entrepreneurship, innovation and private sector development while equipping Caribbean businesses with the necessary tools to grow, adapt to a rapidly changing global marketplace.
