“It was a devastating moment… it was just a heartbreaking moment.”

A grieving family member shared these words after the island’s latest homicide, which has left relatives and loved ones struggling to come to terms with the loss.

Police have identified the victim as 22-year-old Tarrick Isidore from Dennery. He was reportedly shot on Sunday on the bypass road in Cul de Sac, Castries.

“Multiple penetrating wounds were observed about the body,” emergency personnel said.

A family member, who spoke to St Lucia Times on condition of anonymity, described Isidore as “the life of the party”, someone whose presence brought energy and joy to everyone around him.

“We miss him here,” the relative added.

As the family continues to mourn, they also shared a message for those responsible.

“I leave them for God.”

Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
